WAIT A MINUTE - WHERE REALLY IS KUBWA IN THE FCT?

The other day we went to apply for something and got to the part of the form where one had to fill-in the LGA of residence, there was a minute silence. The silence was not in respect of anyone but
of "where is kubwa again"?

If not for one man that helped us with that, even the registering staff wasn't sure of the LGA Kubwa belonged to. So we thought to go find out authoritatively - where really is Kubwa? Is kubwa a town, or village or district of Local Government Area, or just a satellite town?

These where our findings about Abuja and where kubwa came in:

The FCT - Abuja was formed in 1976 from parts of the states of Nasarawa, Niger, and Kogi. It is in the central region of the country. Unlike the other States of Nigeria, which are headed by elected Governors, it is administered by the Federal Capital Territory Administration, headed by a minister appointed by the President.

Abuja is currently made up of six local councils a.k.a Local Government Areas (LGAs), comprising the City of Abuja and five Local Government Areas, namely:

1.Abaji
2.Abuja Municipal
3.Gwagwalada
4.Kuje
5.Bwari (Kubwa is located in this Area council)
6.Kwali

So yeah, now we know better and hope you have also got a thing or two about Abuja - Bwari - Kubwa.
