1. Visit the Orphanage: You can go with Foodstuffs, Toiletries, Beddings etc., whatever you can afford. You can also Help clean their environment, Teach the kids some skills or read to them, anything positive you can add to their lives and experiences.
2. Fill a pothole in your street or somewhere around.
3. Clean a water drainage (Gutter) and some green areas or litter in or around your neighbourhood.
4. Get Cleaners or Waste Disposal company to clear a pile of persistent waste or pile of unattended rubbish.
5. Fix a bad street light or install where there is none (Solar powered can be done too).
6. Conduct a free class for kids or youths about to teach a skill or entrepreneurship or book review, etc.
7. Seek and Help a Family or someone (Possibly in your Neighbourhood) in need with what you can. fOOD stuff, toiletries, cooking utensils, groceries, etc.
8. Go to a nearby school and inquire to help a child or children in need. It Could be for school fees, textbook, etc. A government school may not be very expensive but you your help can go a long way to encourage and inspire hope in someone.
9. You can go to a major bus stop and help people with their luggage or load to cross the road, go through the foot bridge, etc. You will be putting smiles on many faces. If it is raining, get some umbrellas and help people from cars to covered areas so they don't get wet.
10. Visit an elderly peoples' home and render any form of help you can. It can be sitting and chatting with the elderly, helping to clean up their surroundings, running possible errands for them, anything in your power to do in that time or space.
11. Seek for an event around you where you can volunteer and seek to do so. Call the organizers, show up and cheerfully volunteer. Check out eventbrite.com to search for events around your city.
12. Design an educative or informative brochure or pamphlet and distribute to people for free. Safety tips for drivers, Business tips, Step by step skills write up,etc. anything of good value that is worth reading and spreading.
