4 VERY IMPORTANT TIPS TO PROTECT YOUR PHONES OR HAND CARRIES FROM BEING STOLEN OR SNATCHED IN A TAXI, KEKE OR BUS

This comes after one of our crew applied the tip given him by a taxi driver on how NOT to expose his phone while on transit or commuting. He had been advised just a few days ago before he came face to face with the reality of phone thieves who ply their trade along many frequently used routes, Kubwa Express road, not excluded.

From this incident, we have drawn these tips to help protect everyone from the loss of property or even more.

1. Be at Alert when a passenger is dropping/alighting at a lonely or weird spot. Hold tight to your bag or phone especially if you are seated near the window or door. Also, when the driver stops to pick another passenger, hold tight to your device or bag till you are moving again.

2. Don't get carried away by phone calls or playing games on your device when commuting in a public vehicle. Your attention about your environment is likely to be very distracted and you may not be able to read moves of intending snatchers especially in the early mornings or late evenings. Stay alert!

3. When or if the vehicle is tight (passenger squeezing because of number of space), make sure items are off your pockets. If you can hold them, please do or put them away in your bag. Always check your items when a passenger drops, especially if they have been making restless movements in the course of the journey.

4. Look back at where you sat before you walk away from the vehicle. Some items can slip off your hand or pockets unnoticed and if a crooked co-passenger is first to see it, that may be the last time you may see such an item.

Please share this post and these tips with your friends and loved ones, it just saved a phone from being stolen this very night.
