There may not be readily available jobs for every qualified person. There may not be enough capital or support to go round everyone willing to start a business at the same time. There may not be enough information about certain things that could have been made easier or more accessible at certain other times. BUT, there are tons of other types of opportunities that stroll by daily. The challenge is, we often don't see them as opportunities until we hear about what someone else did with the same or similar circumstances.
We will be highlighting some opportunity kinds so that we can look at them in perspective.
1. Networking Opportunity
This involves getting to meet and know people outside your normal or regular cycle of friends and family. People who may even know better than you know in your field or areas of business and also, people who know other things that can inspire you to a different positive line of action you may never have thought about on your own. This can happen at events such as training, seminars, camps, religious gathering, etc. When such windows open, take advantage of them. You can look out at www.eventbrite.com for events close to your city or in your city to participate in. Many are often free and you can also network at such.
2. Learning opportunity
These are opportunities you take advantage of so you can learn. Some may not involve "earning" something substantial or even earning at all. However, you will acquire certain knowledge and skills you may never have thought existed. Internships, volunteering at events or programs, going online to sites where you can take classes for free or next to nothing are ways you can seek and seize opportunities to learn. Some sites for this are, edx, agora, youtube(for videos), etc...you will find tham easily via google search..
THE REMAINING 3 TYPES OF OPPORTUNITIES WILL BE CONTINUED IN THE PART 2 OF THIS POST
